With the BetterMe app, you can train whether you have equipment or not, go to a gym, or exercise at home. You can select workouts that suit your circumstances best.
Access to sports accessories can improve your training. You can choose from a wide selection of tools based on your needs and preferences: jump rope, weighted vest, resistance band, dumbbells, medicine ball, kettlebells, punching bag, ab wheel, and many others.
When training at the gym, you can use elliptical, squat or rowing machines, stair-master, air or spin bike, treadmill, etc. If you need help using any of these, ask a certified trainer for advice.
If you don’t have any home equipment and would like to incorporate some in your training, consider everyday household items as swaps. A sturdy chair or couch can make a substitute for a workout bench. An easy swap for a weighted vest is a filled backpack worn on your front or the back. Filled water bottles or bags of rice or grains can be an alternative to lighter-weight dumbbells. You can substitute a light medicine ball with your typical sports ball. If you want it heavier, use a jug of laundry detergent. Consider using a towel or carpet for extra padding instead of exercising on a hard floor, but for complex poses, it may pay to get a yoga mat.
